Shelia Sutton is a National Board Certified Teacher and UCLA Writing Project Fellow.  She has two masters degrees, one in English from California State University at Los Angeles and one in psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute. Her bachelor's degree is in English Education from the University of Texas at Austin. She also studied Spiritual Direction at Pecos Benedictine Monastery in Pecos, New Mexico, Spiritual Formation at the Stillpoint Center for Spiritual Direction, and "The Converging Religions of the Area" at Tantur University in Jerusalem

Her 24 years of teaching and consulting interests focus on the relational aspect of education and form the basis of her work conducting Accomplished Teaching Institutes and preparing teachers for National Board Certification.

She is dedicated to inspiring teachers to create classrooms and instructional practices that promote and foster student learning and success.

She loves to write and travel the world.  She has two cats, Charlotte and Emily Bronte.
